Who is MB Buchstabenspielplatz?

My name is Malte Behnke and I have worked in daycare centers for many years. Children, their view of the world and their right to participate shape my work.

In addition to my work as an educator, I also write children's books and develop projects on topics such as participation, the environment, and community life. MBBuchstabenspielplatz (MB Letter Playground) emerged from precisely this interplay.

A key aspect of my work is the close collaboration with illustrator Lea Maria Goethe. We develop our book projects together, from the initial idea to the finished book.

This collaboration has resulted in books such as "Quwal the Whale" and "Quwinn the Polar Bear." Beyond these projects, we continue to work closely together and are already planning further joint projects close to our hearts.

Our collaboration is not a loose partnership, but a mature creative process in which text and illustration are considered together from the very beginning.
